Magnum pH
Chances are if you are leading the typical American high-stress lifestyle with behaviors such as excessive alcohol, sugar and caffeine intake, you are magnesium deficient! 20 years of research tells us that magnesium levels run low in most of the US population! Some gastrointestinal tract disturbances such acid reflux, heartburn and indigestion may also intensify magnesium deficiency.
This wide spread deficiency spells nothing but disaster for numerous daily bodily functions such as your heart and cardiovascular system, the nervous system, the skeletal muscles as well as the GI tract. 80% of all diseases require an acid environment to exist and progress. Magnesium deficiency at any level can affect the health of your heart, bones, and blood vessels and alter blood sugar balance as well.
Magnum pH is a highly absorbable magnesium supplement in the form of magnesium bis-Glycinate.* It provides all the health benefits of magnesium, but unlike many forms of supplementary magnesium – it’s easy on the GI tract.
Dr. K’s Audio Summary
Magnum pH™
120 Tablet Bottle
Mineral Supplement
Magnum pH supports:
- Those with limited intestinal tolerance to other forms of magnesium (not dependent on stomach acid for absorption)
- Glucose/insulin management by affecting insulin secretion and action
- Healthy blood pressure by influencing cardiovascular tone
- Bone Health - Assists in the metabolism and uptake of calcium
- Magnesium loss from calcium fortified antacids - balances the intake of calcium
- Whole body detoxification and assists in maintaining adequate liver function
- Helps minimize minor cerebral discomfort (i.e. headaches)
- Relieves menstrual and nocturnal leg muscle cramps by relaxing muscles
Not all magnesium is alike
Magnum pH has an effective mineral chelator and is more easily transported across the intestinal membrane raising your magnesium level. A study conducted at Weber State University confirmed that our Magnum pH gives your body four times the ability to be fully absorbed!
- A two-year open, controlled trial showed 22 out of a group of 31 post-menopausal women who took daily magnesium supplements showed gains in bone density.
Why is Magnesium bis-Glycinate the preferred form of magnesium?
- Superior absorption and bioavailability demonstrated by clinical research
- More than 10 years of successful clinical use
- Fully-reacted chelate for excellent GI tolerance, unlike other common forms of magnesium
- Consistent formulation for a pharmaceutical-grade magnesium supplement

Dr. K’s Recommended Dosage:
Begin taking one tablet, 2 times a day.
It is important to monitor your pH daily to determine the acid/alkaline balance of your body. By purchasing our pH accessories (which include pH paper, chart and instructions), you can be sure you are taking the right amount of Magnum pH. If while monitoring your pH, you don’t see a shift in your pH levels, increase dosage to 2 tablets, 2 times a day.
Many factors can contribute to unstable acid/alkaline balance such as lifestyle, stress, chronic infections, etc. Deficiency of magnesium can be associated with fatigue and weakness. With adrenal stress, there is a continual magnesium excretion taking place in the body. No matter how much magnesium is consumed, magnesium levels will often continue to be low. Dr. K calls this the “hole in the bucket syndrome.”
We offer an Adrenal Stress Index Test (saliva) that measures adrenal function. Please call us to find out more about this important test. The HealthQuest Hotline Number is 1-800-794-1855.
Why magnesium is important
Magnesium is a dietary mineral which is responsible for many biological activities in our bodies. It is part of a number of life-essential processes that occur inside and outside of each and every cell. If you have a magnesium deficiency, as many Americans do, 20 years of research tells us that magnesium levels run low in most of the US population! And…. high caffeine, alcohol and sugar consumption makes you more susceptible to a less than perfect magnesium level.
This wide spread deficiency spells nothing but disaster for numerous daily bodily functions such as your heart and cardiovascular system, the nervous system, the skeletal muscles as well as the GI tract. 80% of all diseases require an acid environment to exist and progress. Magnesium deficiency at any level can affect the health of your heart, bones and blood vessels and alter blood sugar balance as well.
The elderly, in particular, may be susceptible to magnesium deficiency for a variety of reasons, including inadequate magnesium intake, poor absorption due to problematic digestive tracts and only made worse when prescriptive drugs are taken long term.
What Depletes or Interferes with Magnesium Absorption?
Many factors can deplete magnesium as mentioned above and also include anxiety, tissue injury, prolonged fasting, radiation, an overactive thyroid, chronic gastrointestinal concerns and an acid condition of the body (acidosis). Excess refined sugar, refined carbohydrates, low dietary protein, excess zinc, excess Vitamin D and excess calcium can contribute to magnesium deficiency. Soft drinks, in particular, can rapidly deplete magnesium, due to their high content of refined sugar and phosphoric acid. Consumption of items with aluminum, fluoride and phosphates can also interfere with magnesium absorption.
What Foods Are Highest in Magnesium?
Foods which are naturally high in magnesium are: barley grass, oat grass, wheat grass, nutritional yeast, kelp, brown rice, sunflower seeds, cashews, almonds, buckwheat, dulse, millet, wheat, pecans, walnuts, beet greens, dried coconut, dried figs, dried apricots, dates, avocado, parsley, prunes, cooked beans, garlic, raisins, banana, blackberries, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, asparagus.
